The RTPO celebrates its 6th General Assembly

The 6th General Assembly of the International Network of Regional Trade Promotion Organisations took place on 27-28th March and was hosted by the agency Exportaminas from Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The 10th TPO Network World Conference and Awards (WTPO), hosted by Dubai Exports -member of RTPO- and in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC), will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 3-5 November 2014.

The WTPO Conference is the ultimate global event for Trade Promotion Organizations (TPO), which brings together approximately 200 renowned TPO representatives at a national and regional level as well as other organizations involved in trade promotion.

This year’s theme “From export promotion to internationalization – The role of TPOs in the evolving global economy” reflects the need to develop responses to new requirements, as SMEs seek in TPOs for advice and assistance to help them access and cope with new markets.

On Wednesday 5th, Mr. Daniel Gouffé, as president of RTPO, will be delivering a speech during lunchtime.

The event provides trade professionals with a unique opportunity to network and share information on innovative trade initiatives, best practices and case studies. Participants will explore new approaches to facilitate the internationalization of SMEs, and will be joined by field experts to discuss topics such as:

Trade and investment;

Use of information and communications technologies to design, deliver and measure the impact of TPO services;

Women empowerment through trade;

Market diversification – SMEs and emerging markets, and

Integration of SMEs into global value chains.
