“2014 European Supply Chain & Logistics Summit” – Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is due to host the 2014 European Supply Chain & Logistics Summit on 16 and 17 June.

The World Trade Group (WTG) has announced that its upcoming annual European Supply Chain & Logistics (ESCL) Summit will be held in Barcelona this year.

Chris Chapman, ESCL Director, declared today that the choice of Barcelona came naturally as the city is rapidly consolidating itself as an international gateway for the flow of incoming and outgoing goods to and from Europe and the Mediterranean area.

In Chapman’s view, Barcelona is identified with a modern and dynamic industrial sector and, thanks to its position as a hub with sea, air, and land connections, is superior to other logistic centers around the world.

Last year’s event took place in Berlin with the participation of companies like Walt Disney, Intel, Renault, Burger King, Unilever, Henkel, Telefonica, P&G, among others.

The European Supply Chain & Logistics Summit will offer an unbeatable mix of expert case studies, interactive debate and in depth topic master classes. Attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to harness the latest technology, improve demand management planning and widen their network of fellow professionals.
