“5th World Footwear Congress” - Leon, Mexico

After the great success of the 2011 edition held in Rio de Janeiro, the lead has now been taken by Mexico and the State of Guanajuato, where the city of Leon is located. This is one of the footwear industry’s most important production areas and is characterized by its commitment to high quality standards and its strong reputation for design and innovation.

The Congress will benefit from the extensive experience and professionalism of ANPIC and CICEG, which are co-organizers of the event together with CEC (Confédération Européenne de l’Industrie de la Chaussure).

The CEC founded the World Footwear Congress more than ten years ago as a meeting place for discussing the constant changes and challenges that the footwear sector has faced since the beginning of globalization.

The 2014 Congress will focus on three main themes: the evolution of footwear consumption across the world, market access, and production strategies and access to raw materials.

The Congress will also include a round table for each of the three themes with the objective of promoting a free exchange of opinions between all categories of participants.
